When weight loss surgery is performed without the benefit of a multi-disciplinary program, you are provided with surgery and little or nothing else, jeopardizing a successful weight loss outcome. We have learned through experience that after weight loss surgery, your needs will change at various stages in the long-term recovery process. For this reason, NeWeigh provides basic, intermediate and advanced aftercare support free of charge. While most programs offer only a single monthly support group, NeWeigh’s multiple support group meetings are held weekly. For your convenience and to further assist you, NeWeigh conducts an additional monthly meeting.

To support communication, NeWeigh publishes quarterly newsletters. To provide a socially interactive environment, NeWeigh hosts holiday events and weekend retreats.

Constant contact, and the concern it demonstrates, will play a key role in your successful outcome. Aftercare support, reminder notices for follow-up physician visits, post-operative laboratory work, patient questionnaires and photographs taken at each visit will document your progress. We will even assist you in avoiding the temptation to overeat. For example, NeWeigh will furnish you with meal cards requesting that restaurants offer smaller portions at reduced prices. In addition, we provide healthy menus to our program participants, and then devote one evening per month to serving them samples of these delectable, healthy foods.
